Right Choice For Interior Stair Railings Is Easier Than You Think

Have you ever wondered how the stair railings were created before safety standards existed? There is no history of railings but common sense suggests that railings have been around for a long time. They can be seen in castles and other buildings that have survived for hundreds of years.

There have been many improvements since the construction of castles. All safety precautions must now be added to the railings. They're no longer decorative. Safety regulations were introduced in the 1980s. The best aluminum stair railing no longer had to be handrails but must have certain safety features built into them.

Stairs and railings must be able to withstand a certain amount of poundage, especially for interior stairs. They must also have 4 inches between the balusters and no-slip grips. They can be used for both safety and decorative purposes. Safety features are built into decorative railings. You can match them with any staircase.

You can find them in metal, vinyl, wood, and other materials. You can have them powder-coated, matte, brushed soft, or highly polished.

You can make the top of your railings from the same material as the rest. Some exceptions include glass railings, where the glass rail is part of the vertical posts but separated by panes of glass at the top and bottom.

These railings have many benefits over other types, but the main drawback is that they are glass. They are fingerprint-prone and must be cleaned every day unless you wish to count how many people have used the railing. If that is the case, you should not clean them for more than a day to see how many fingerprints can be counted.
